Moira Peters & Craig Pinhey
Moira cut her teeth on the New York wine industry, receiving Captain Sommelier certification on Long Island from the Sommelier Society of America in 2007. After moving back to Nova Scotia, she started Unwined, a wine workshop and tasting party business, and worked for a year at Cape Breton's first commercial winery, Eileanan Brèagha Vineyards. She now writes Moira's Glass Act, a weekend wine column with Local Xpress, and tends a child and chickens in Maitland, Nova Scotia.
Craig is a Nova Scotia born wine writer and consultant. An Engineer by education, Craig worked in Ontario, where he gained his appreciation for local wine in Niagara in the 90s. Returning to the Maritimes in late 1998, Craig became a certified Sommelier and started his new career as a beverage writer. He has been running wine events and judging national wine competitions since 2000, and recently co-authored The Wine Lover's Guide to Atlantic Canada with Moira Peters.
